Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assistance and dedication to strengthening South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) solutions in the course of an engagement along with the agency's senior professionals in a strategic setting up session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled during the 2024 matric examinations.

Of your 724 156 full-time learners who registered for that National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% with the registered pupils from the education sector.

These learners achieved a commendable pass rate of 86%.

"This means that the investment decision national government is creating during the life of poor and susceptible little ones is yielding a good affect in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe explained.

Reflecting on the latest achievements, the Minister highlighted key milestones and ongoing priorities. She committed to urgently addressing the issue of long lasting leadership appointments along with the lack of personnel at most local places of work.

Furthermore, the Minister highlighted the need for community-based engagements and outreach actions.

"Our community is looking forward to our huge intensification of Neighborhood outreach, where we prioritise underserved spots to provide companies closer to our individuals," here she reiterated.

With regards to SASSA systems, Tolashe urged administration to prioritise strengthening and modernising techniques to improve accessibility, queue administration and stop fraud.
